Best Practice to Allow Flexible Folder Creation in Public Workspaces
The security model of iManage requires users to have full access to create folders under a workspace. However, firms do not want to grant full access to users, as it gives them the ability to delete workspaces, modify security and profiles, delete documents and folders, and so on.
Therefore, the best practice when using Flexible Folders is to provide users with read/write access to create folders. iManage Work Server provides only read/write access to create folders under public workspaces using the Allow Folder Creation in Public Workspaces registry key in conjunction with the standard public folder creation role bit.
For more information on configuring this registry key, refer to section Allow Folder Creation in Public Workspaces in iManage Work Server Administration Guide.
