An unscheduled event type is one that can be created in the Library Manager and doesn't require a schedule. An unscheduled event can be applied to any record with any status.
The steps to create a sample Unscheduled Event Type are as mentioned below:
In Library Manager, expand the cluster, then the library, and then select Metadata.
Under Metadata, right-click the Event Type node and select Add.
In the Add Metadata dialog, assign sample values as mentioned below:
EVENT_TYPE_ID = Demogov152
NAME = DEMO
IS_TRIGGER_F = TRUE
Check the box to assign the value as True.REQUIRES_SCHEDULE = FALSE
Uncheck the box to assign the value as false.
Select OK.
Start IRM Desktop Client for Records Managers on your machine.
Browse to the Administration tab and then select Events.
Create a new event and update the following fields:
Name: Demonstration
Event Type: DEMO
This is the unscheduled event created in Library Manager.To select the record status, select the Record status upon processing box and then select .
Select any record status in the Browse and Select dialog and then select OK.
To close the New Event dialog, select OK.
Browse to the Records tab and select any file.
Right-click the file part and select Process Triggers.
In the Trigger Processing dialog, update the following fields:
Items to be updated: One selected items.
Selected Trigger: In the Browse and Select dialog, select , select DEMONSTRATION, and then select OK.
Effective Date: Select the current day date.
NOTE: The new unscheduled trigger needs either a record status or a date field or both, to define how the trigger will modify items it's applied to.
Select Process. The result is displayed below in the Results box.
Select Close.
