Practice areas can be deleted only if no matters which use the specific type exist.

To delete a practice area:

1. In Library Manager, expand the cluster, then the library, and then Metadata.

2. Under Metadata, select Practice Area.
   The individual practice areas are displayed in the right pane of Library Manager.

3. Right-click the practice area you want to delete and select Delete.
