In addition to the default policies (View, Public, Private), you can create new security policies to control access within a matter. These new security policies are created within a matter, and can only be applied to file parts within this matter.
In the Navigation pane, select the Records tab.
Search or browse for the matter.
Right-click it, and select Manage Security Policies. The Browse Security Policies dialog opens.
Select New. The Manage Security Policies dialog opens with New Policy displaying in the Name field.
Complete the following fields:
Name: Enter a name for this security policy.
Description: Enter a description of this security policy.
Default Access: Select a default access level from the list. The default access level defines the access to an item for all users who aren't included in the Members list. For more information about each access level, refer to Security Policy Levels.
Members: To grant or restrict access for specific users, select the Add button. Use the Select User dialog to select an OU, group, WorkGroup, or individual users. Select OK when you've added users.
For each user, group, or OU, you must assign an access level. This is useful when you need to separate individual users from a group. For example, if you've granted Delete access to an entire group, you could use this field to grant a different access level to a specific user within that group.
Select OK.
Select Close.
