Security policies help you ‌control the access users have to the file parts within a matter. The application provides three predefined security policies:

  • Private: This security policy gives users No Access to the object.

  • Public: This security policy gives users Full Control over the object.

  • View: This security policy gives users View Access to the object.

When you create a new file part, the default security policy is always inherited from the parent file part.

The file part owner always has Full Control access to the file part, no matter what security policy is set for the file part.

NOTE: You must have the File Plan Admin privilege or the File Part Manager privileges, and at least View access on the matter to create and modify security policies.
