Use the information provided in the "iManage Security Policy Manager provisioned" email from iManage, and the information in the sections below, to access SPM.
Enabling the SPM application in iManage Control Center
As a prerequisite for user and group imports from iManage Work at cloudimanage.com, you must enable the SPM application in iManage Control Center at cloudimanage.com (iMCC).
Sign in to iMCC as an NRTAdmin.
Browse to the Applications tab.
Select Add Application.
Add the security-policy-manager application.
TIP: We recommend that you enable Token Caching also.
For additional details about the configuration options available when adding applications in iManage Control Center at cloudimanage.com, refer to the Applications section in iManage Control Center at cloudimanage.com documentation.
Signing in to iManage Security Policy Manager
In your web browser, enter the admin sign-in URL provided in your provisioning email—for example, http://1234.spm-cloudimanage.com/admin/login. The iManage Security Policy Manager sign-in page opens.
In the Username and Password fields, enter the initial SPMAdmin user name and password supplied in your provisioning email.
TIP: Your provisioning email contains credentials for three accounts: SPMAdmin, SPMAgent, and SPMActivity importer. For signing in, only the SPMAdmin account is applicable. The other accounts are system accounts designed for use with on-premises agents and imports.
Select Sign In. iManage SPM opens on the Home page.
Authorizing user and group imports
If you're using SPM to connect to iManage Work at cloudimanage.com for the first time, you’ll need to authorize SPM to enable scheduled user and group imports from iManage Work at cloudimanage.com.
TIP: When users and groups are imported, you can begin assigning roles to those who you want to have access to SPM.
To do so:
Browse to Settings. The Settings page opens on the General tab.
Select Advanced Settings.
Select Authorize.
On the iManage Cloud sign-in page, enter your iManage Work email address.
Select Continue.
Enter your iManage Work password.
Select Sign in. You are redirected back to SPM administration console, where an Authorization in Progress page will display temporarily. When this is complete, you are returned to the Advanced Settings page. The setting now states that SPM is authorized, along with the user name of the authorizing user, and the authorization date. Authorization is complete, enabling scheduled imports from iManage Work at cloudimanage.com.
TIP: Allow at least 30 minutes for users and groups to start being visible in iManage SPM. You can view the user import status on the Monitoring page of SPM.
Assigning initial roles
The credentials you're provided with in the provisioning email are only for initial sign in, and aren't supported by single sign-on with iManage Work in the Cloud. Having authorized imports as described above, you can use the initial sign-in account provided to assign roles to the users imported into iManage SPM.
You must assign at least one user with the User and Group Administrator role—this will allow that user to access SPM by single sign-on, and assign roles to other users.
Any users that your organization wants to have access to SPM must have an SPM role also. More substantial role assignment can be performed when required.
TIP: We also recommend at this stage that you assign at least one user the Client and Matter Administrator role, in anticipation of client and matter imports into iManage SPM.
Verifying sign in as user imported into SPM
You can check that any users with roles can access SPM using the single sign-on.
As a user signed in to iManage Work at cloudimanage.com and with a role in SPM, you can browse to iManage SPM simply by modifying your cloudimanage.com URL to cloudimanage.com/spm/web. Custom subdomains are also supported—for example, yourcompany.cloudimanage.com/spm/web.
iManage SPM opens on the Home page.
