Access SPM settings to ensure that the system parameters put in place during the initial configuration of SPM meet your organization's requirements, and configure additional settings as needed.

Accessing SPM settings

  1. From the SPM console, select <Username>in the upper right of the top banner, where <Username> is your user name.

  2. Select Settings. The Settings page is displayed at the General tab.

iManage recommends that you check, and where required configure, the following settings to ensure that they meet the requirements of your organization before SPM is put into production.

Activity Feeds

Enable scheduled import of user billing and document activity, define the import period, and configure default filter values.

Opposing Team Sets

Specify whether historical users, who are no longer on the staffing of an asset, and candidate users, who have billed hours on or performed document activity in an asset without being a member of asset staffing, are included in opposing team sets.

Work Document and Folder Links

Configure iManage Work hyperlinks in SPM, enabling links to documents or folders in iManage Work to be included in certain SPM fields such as Security Memo.

Other Links

Specify external URLs that you want to make available for notification email templates. This functions as an allow list.

Language Settings

Select SPM language and customize terminology.

ID Settings

Configure this setting in accordance with whether matters in your organization are uniquely identified, and specify manual or automatic generation of ID for cases, collections, client groups, and opposing team sets.

Notification Settings

Configure the way that notifications are sent to and from SPM, for example, to advise of security obligations or approve access requests.

NOTE: Notifications aren’tenabled by default. They must be enabled and configured.

Custom Properties

You can store additional properties (metadata) against assets and users in SPM. If you're importing metadata for collections, ensure that corresponding custom properties are added to iManage Security Policy Manager through the Administration Console.
