In Configuration > Roles, the Users/Groups tab displays all users and groups that have been imported from iManage Work. It is the default view when you navigate to Configuration > Roles. Use it to look up a user’s or group’s details, see who belongs to a group, or narrow the list to find specific users or groups.

Page layout and features

The Users/Groups tab contains a table that displays users and groups with the following information:

  • For each user: User name, user ID, email address, and account status

  • For each group: Group name, group ID, and account status

  • Account status is indicated by icon color: blue = active user or group; gray = disabled user or group

Sorting

  • The list is sorted by Name in ascending order by default

  • To change the sort order, select the Name or Account Status column header

  • Select the same column header again to toggle between ascending and descending order

Column visibility

  • To hide or show the Account Status column, select the column settings icon at the top right of the table

  • The Name column is always displayed and cannot be hidden

  • Columns currently being used to sort the table cannot be hidden

Filtering

  • Use the search bar to filter by user name or ID, or group name or ID

  • To open the filter menu, select Filter. The filter menu can be pinned to the left of the screen by selecting the pin icon

  • Available filters:

    • Type

    • Account Status

    • Locations

    • Additional Locations*

    • Department*

    • Practice Area*

* These filters are available only if the corresponding metadata fields have been imported into Threat Manager. For more information, refer to Using the User Metadata Importer.

The default value for all filters is All.

Task: View a user’s details

Access a user’s information, groups, and assigned roles.

  1. Go to Configuration > Roles. The Users/Groups tab is displayed by default.

  2. Use the search bar or Filter menu to locate the user.

  3. Select the user name. The User Details page opens and displays the selected user’s information.

Task: View a group's members without opening the group details page

Quickly see who is a member of a group.

  1. Go to Configuration > Roles. The Users/Groups tab is displayed by default.

  2. Use the search bar or Filter menu to locate the group.

  3. Select View Members beside the group ID. A scrollable tooltip displays all group members.

To view a specific member's details, select the member's name in the tooltip. The User Details page opens for that user.

Task: Filter users or groups

Narrow the list to find specific users or groups.

  1. Go to Configuration > Roles. The Users/Groups tab is displayed by default.

  2. To filter by name or ID:

    • Use the search bar to enter the user or group name or ID

  3. To filter by other attributes:

    • Select Filter. The filter menu opens.

    • Select the attribute you want to filter by (Type, Account Status, Locations, Department, etc.)

    • Select the value (All, enabled, disabled, etc.)

    • To pin the filter menu to the left side of the screen, select the pin icon

The table updates to show only users or groups matching your filter criteria.
