You can remove a shared collaboration link using one of the following methods:

Removing link for all recipients using the context menu

  1. Select a document which you’ve shared for collaboration.

  2. On the context menu, select either of the following:

    • Select Share > Share Document > Remove link in the Share Document dialog.

  1. Select a document which you’ve shared for collaboration.

  2. Hover over the sharing status indicator and select Remove Link from the dialog.

  3. Select Remove link.

Recipients will be taken to the following page when:

  • The collaboration link is removed or expires.

  • Collaborators no longer have access to the link.

NOTE:

  • If a collaborator has the document open in Microsoft web at the time their access is removed, they lose access to the document the next time their edits are saved or when they refresh manually.

  • If collaborators have the document open in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint Desktop at the time their access is removed, an error message is displayed the next time auto-save runs, but the document remains open on their device.

In either of the above scenarios, it may take up to 1 hour for the document in question to show as checked in (Globe Icon removed) in iManage Work Web.


Removing an individual user using the context menu

  1. Select the document which you’ve shared for collaboration.

  2. On the context menu, select Share and then select Share Document.

  3. Select the cancel ✖️ icon next to the name of the user who you wish to remove from the active share.

  4. If you remove a single user, then you’re presented with the Save and send link option to proceed. If you remove all the available users, then you’re presented with the Remove link option to proceed because the collaboration link is disabled when all users are removed.
    No email confirmation is sent if a user is removed from a link.
