The iManage Insight Plus connector empowers users to manage knowledge assets for their organization, ensuring all files are secure within the iManage Work ecosystem.

After configuration, users with appropriate permissions may perform the following actions within a Power Automate flow:

  • Get curation properties of a document:

    • Gets the curation properties of the given knowledge asset.

    • The curation properties of a knowledge asset are the same as those used in Set curation properties on a document.

  • Search curation taxonomy node values:

    • Searches for curation taxonomy node values matching the specified search criteria.

    • Any searches performed using this action are only applicable to curation.taxonomy1–5 properties.

  • Set curation properties on a document:

    • Sets curation properties of the given knowledge asset. Curation properties include:

      • curation.submit_date: The date on which the knowledge asset was submitted.

      • curation.last_review_date: The date on which the knowledge asset was last reviewed.

      • curation.next_review_date: The date on which the knowledge asset is next due for a review.

      • curation.knowledge_type: The type of knowledge asset being submitted, for example—user guide.

      • curation.language: The language of the knowledge asset being submitted.

      • curation.state: Whether the knowledge asset is Published, Retired, Rejected, In Draft, and so on.

      • curation.knowledge_owner: Name of the person responsible for maintaining the knowledge asset.

      • curation.approver: Name of the person who approved the knowledge asset.

      • curation.submitter: Name of the person who submitted a knowledge asset for curation.

      • curation.is_maintained: If the knowledge asset is actively maintained or not.

      • curation.submitted_doc_id: ID of the knowledge asset that was submitted as knowledge for curation.

      • curation.drafting_notes: Notes or usage instructions for the knowledge asset.

      • curation.mini_summary: Summary of the knowledge asset.

      • curation.other_noteworthy: Other notes about the knowledge asset.

      • curation.taxonomy1–5: Custom taxonomy field that can be configured per organization requirements.

  • Get curation configuration:

    • Gets the curation configuration for the specified library, such as the knowledge administrators and destination folders.

    • The specified library can either be a knowledge library or a mapped working library.

  • Get knowledge types:

    • Gets knowledge types for the knowledge library.

    • Returns all the knowledge types configured by the administrator of the organization in iManage Control Center.

Get started with the iManage Insight Plus connector

Prerequisites

The iManage Insight Plus connector is available for customers subscribed to iManage Insight+.

To begin using the iManage Insight Plus connector, an iManage administrator assigned to a Global Management role with the App Management privilege must complete the following steps. For more information, refer to Global privilege descriptions.

  1. In iManage Control Center, browse to Settings > Applications.

  2. Select +Add Application. The Add Application dialog opens, and displays the list of applications available for you to add.

  3. Search for Power Automate.

  4. Select the iManage Insight Plus for Power Automate application, then select Authentication.

  5. Select Allow Refresh Tokens, then select Access.

  6. Select Review to review the options you selected.

  7. Select Finish.

The iManage Insight Plus for Power Automate application is now available for use by Power Automate users who are also iManage Insight+ users. These users can authenticate through Power Automate and run flows and actions respecting their own iManage Insight+ permissions.

NOTE: The iManage Insight Plus connector is supported only with Knowledge libraries. The actions listed above can't be performed within Active (non-knowledge) libraries.

How to get credentials

If you're an existing iManage Work user, provide your iManage Work credentials to sign in. Otherwise, contact your system administrator for assistance.

Enable Power Automate

The first time someone in your organization wants to use the iManage Insight Plus connector, an Administrator must take the following steps:

  1. If you're an iManage Reseller/Implementation Partner who has previously asked for a Partner Sandbox and are interested in having this feature activated, email iManage at channelenablement@imanage.com. If you're a customer, please contact cloudsupport@imanage.com.

  2. After you've been added to the Power Automate application, it shows under Applications in iManage Control Center. A Control Center Admin with Tier 2 or NRTAdmin access must enable the application and also refresh tokens. After that, Power Automate users who are also iManage Work users can authenticate through Power Automate and run flows and actions respecting their own Work permissions.

NOTE: The iManage Work, iManage Work for Admins, and iManage Insight Plus connectors must be activated separately.

Build your flow

Perform the following steps to get started with the iManage Insight Plus connector:

  1. Go to make.powerautomate.com and select +Create.

  2. Create an Instant cloud flow and select + New step.

  3. Search for iManage Insight Plus connector to see all the available iManage Insight Plus actions.

  4. Select the desired iManage Insight Plus action.

  5. If you're not already signed in to iManage Work, you're prompted to sign in.

    1. Select Sign in.

    2. Enter the URL you use to connect to iManage Work, for example cloudimanage.com.

    3. Enter your email address you use to sign in to iManage Work.

    4. Enter the password for the chosen account and select Sign in.

All flows that use iManage Insight Plus actions connect using these user credentials. A different iManage user account can be used by adding a new connection under My Connections and switching to it.
