How iManage Work Mobility 10.20 compares with previous versions

All features available in previous releases of iManage Work Mobility, such as PDF annotation and file editing, are present in this version, with the following exceptions:

  • Opening an iManage Work document for editing from an Office app is no longer supported. The recommended method is to open the document for editing from iManage Work Mobility.

  • Offline searching is no longer supported. Users must be connected to iManage Work to perform a search in iManage Work Mobility.
  • The Auto Upload setting in iManage Work Mobility is no longer available.

Other Limitations

Preview

iManage Work Mobility uses the iOS native file preview capabilities to enable users to preview documents on their local device when they do not have an internet connection. It does not use iManage Work Server preview capabilities at this time. As such, there are some known limitations to Apple's native preview support:

  • Comments
  • Redlines

To view documents which have these types of edits, open the document in the native app.

Default Mail App

In iOS 14, Apple allows users to select a Default Mail App, such as Microsoft Outlook. This is not currently supported with iManage Work Mobility, and all email operations continue to use the native Mail app, regardless if the user has selected an alternate mail app.

Search results

When performing a search using only metadata search criteria (for example, Author = Tom Jones and/or Edit Date = Last 6 months), the search results returned may be in a different order than the same search performed in iManage Work Web. This behavior does not apply when performing a search that includes any of the following criteria:

  • Keyword
  • Document Name/Description
  • Comments
  • Custom 13-16
  • Anywhere

Drag and drop

Users cannot drag and drop files from another app to iManage Work Mobility to add the file to iManage Work. This activity is not supported by Intune.

However, users can drag and drop files within the iManage Work Mobility app in order to upload a new version of one file to another, as well as to relate two separate documents.

Localization

Document Timelines are displayed in the language selected in the user's Language setting in iManage Work Web, and not the iOS device's language settings.
