You cannot create a new version of file directly from Microsoft 365 for the web, Mthe icrosoft 365 applications for the desktop, or the Microsoft 365 for iOS applications. You can only create a new version from iManage Work at cloudimanage.com by doing the following:
Select the kebab option next to the file you want to edit as a new version and then select Open. Alternatively, right-click the file you want to edit as a new version and select Open.
Do one of the following:
If accessing iManage Work at cloudimanage.com select Edit (Co-author) new version. The Edit New version dialog opens.
If accessing iManage Work app from iOS device, select the kebab option next to the file and then select Edit (Co-author) new version.
In the Edit New version dialog, make the necessary changes to the author, comments, or title.
Select Create new version. A new version of the file is created and opens in the relevant:
Microsoft 365 for desktop application.
Microsoft 365 applications for iOS, or Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft PowerPoint for iOS.
NOTE: When creating a new version of the file using the Edit (Co-author) new version option, the version number of the footer isn’t updated automatically. To ensure the version number of the footer is updated, do the following:
Select the kebab option next to the Microsoft Word document you want to update the footer for and then select Open > Edit. Alternatively, right-click the Microsoft Word document you want to update and select Open > Edit. The document opens in the default application.
Select Save and then close the Microsoft Word document.
