NOTE:
Selected icons on this page are collected in a table in Messaging window icons.

You can select a document, email, folder, or workspace from iManage Work and then attach the same to the Microsoft Teams app.

Selecting an item using the Microsoft Teams command box:

  1. Browse to your preferred chat or channel.

  2. To access the iManage bot, enter @iManage in the command box.

  3. Select iManage from the suggestions pop-up window. 

  4. Select Select from iManage Work to open the iManage File Open/Save As dialog box.

  5. Select the preferred item and then use the Copy option in the adaptive card to share it with other users or use the Post option to share the cards in the chat or channel.

Selecting an item from the messaging extension window:

  1. Browse to your preferred chat or channel.

  2. Select the iManage icon (refer to Messaging window icons) from the chat toolbar. A messaging extension window appears.

  3. Select the Plus icon (refer to Messaging window icons) and then choose Select from iManage Work to open the iManage File Open/Save As dialog box.

  4. Select the preferred item and then use the Copy  option in the adaptive card to share it with other users or use the Send option to share the cards in the chat or channel.

Previewing a document using an unfurled link:

  1. In a chat or a channel, browse to the adaptive card which contains the document metadata.

  2. Select Preview. A window appears showing the document preview.

    • Select View in iManage to open the document in the iManage Work app within Microsoft Teams and perform further actions.
      OR

    • Select Back to return to the chat.

Opening a document using an unfurled link:

  1. In a chat or a channel, browse to the adaptive card which contains the document metadata.

  2. Select Edit. Depending on your access levels, the document opens in edit mode in the native application on the local machine using iManage integration. If iManage integration is not available, you have an option to view the document in the iManage Work app within Teams using View in iManage.

Previewing an email using an unfurled link:

  1. In a chat or a channel, browse to the adaptive card which contains the email metadata.

  2. Select Preview. A window appears showing the email preview.

    • Select View in iManage to open the email in the iManage Work app within Microsoft Teams and perform further actions.
      OR

    • Select Back to return to the chat.

NOTE: For an email containing attachments, you can preview each attachment in the preview window.

Opening an email using an unfurled link:

  1. In a chat or a channel, browse to the adaptive card which contains the email metadata.

  2. Select Open. The email opens in the native application on the local machine.

Folder

  1. In a chat or a channel, browse to the adaptive card which contains the folder metadata.

  2. Select View in iManage. The folder and its contents open in the iManage Work tab. 

Workspace

  2. Select View in iManage. The workspace and its contents open in the iManage Work tab.
