The Views tab on the Web Client page lets you customize attributes for the following objects in iManage Work for each library:

  • Documents

  • Emails

  • Matters

  • Client

  • Folders

These objects appear as sub-tabs in the Views tab.

NOTES:

  • To perform operations on the Web Client page, the user must be a member of the NRTADMIN group, or be assigned to a role with Tier 2 access to Control Center. For more information about the specific operations allowed, refer to Understanding tiers.

  • The customizations apply to both desktop and mobile devices.

The following figure shows an example of the Views tab.

Follow these steps to customize the object views.

  1. In iManage Control Center, browse to Work Clients > Web Client and then select the Views tab.

  2. Select the library you want to customize from the drop-down list at the top of the tab.

  3. In the Views Customization section, select the object tab for which you want to customize the view.

  4. Place the cursor over the sample object, and select the icon-edit.png icon. In edit mode, you can:

    • Select Add to choose one or more fields from the drop-down list and add them to the view.

    • Hover over a field and select X to remove the field from the list.

    • Drag-and-drop attribute fields to change their order.

  5. Select the icon-save.png icon to save your changes and disable editing.

    • Optional: Select Apply changes to all databases to apply the same views to all libraries. This option is available only if there's more than one library.

  6. Select Save.

NOTES:

  • A maximum of ten fields can be added to the view. However, if too many fields are added, then the mobile view may not appear correctly due to insufficient screen space.

  • Workspace fields can't be edited in the Documents view. Therefore, Document view gets only nine configurable fields.

  • To revert to the default settings, select Restore Defaults.

Context-aware fields

Context-aware fields are those that switch dynamically depending on the context in iManage Work client applications.

  • Last user/Checked out user in the Documents view: When the document is checked-in, Last user appears in iManage Work client applications, and Checked out user appears when it is checked-out.

  • To and From in the Emails view: When the To me filter is selected in Email, the From field is shown in the UI. It dynamically switches to To when From me is selected.
