In the Matters dashboard, select anywhere on a matter row to navigate to the Matter details page. The Overview tab is displayed, by default.

Matter labels

If the Matter is secured by a case, client, or client group, a label to that effect is displayed beside the matter name.

A label "Member of Collection" is also displayed if the matter is included in a collection. If the matter had 'Open' security before being added to the collection, its security policy changes to 'Restricted by Collection', and the label "Restricted by Collection" is displayed.

TIP:

Hovering over such label presents a tooltip which provides a link to the securing asset and/or including or restricting collection(s), respectively.

Details presented

The Matter details - Overview page displays the following details:

Description

Security Policy

The current security policy of the matter - restricted or open or restricted by client group, and so on.

Select View Security Policy pane to navigate to the Security tab on the Matter Details page. You can modify the security policy of the matter under the Security tab.

Staffing

The count of users that are part of the matter staffing. Designated administrators at the asset level or a user with global admin rights, can acknowledge a security memo on behalf of staff members in order to grant access to restricted matter content.

Select View Staffing to navigate to the Staffing tab on the Matter Details page. You can modify the staffing details for the matter under the Staffing tab.

Conflicted Users

The count of users having a conflict with the current matter.

Select View Conflicted Users to navigate to the Conflicted Users tab on the Matter Details page. If you have the Conflicts officer role assigned, you can modify the conflicting user details under the Conflicted Users tab.

Opposing Team Set

The count of opposing team sets.

Select View Opposing Team Sets to navigate to the Opposing Team Sets tab on the Matter Details page. If you have the Conflicts officer role assigned, you can modify the opposing team set details under the Opposing Team Sets tab.

NOTE:

If scheduled review of an applicable opposing team set is overdue, a flag  is displayed to the right of the count opposing team sets.

Scheduled Review

This pane is displayed only when a review is scheduled for the matter. If the Frequency of Review under the General Details take is set to 'Never' then this pane is not displayed on this page.

Select anywhere in the Scheduled Review pane to navigate to the General Details tab on the Matter Details page. You can modify the frequency of review and mark review complete for the matter under the General details tab.

NOTE:

If the matter is secured by the client, then the client-level security review frequency applies to the matter. You will not see the Scheduled Review pane under the Overview tab in such a scenario for the matter.

Security Memo

This pane displays the security memo defined for the matter.

Allowed Users

The count of all users who have access to the matter. In case of matters with 'open' security policy, 'All users' is displayed, which implies that all the non-excluded users have access to the matter content.

Select View Allowed Users Report to navigate to the Allowed Users tab in the Reports page.

Excluded Users

The count of all users who are either in conflict with the matter or are a member of an opposing team set and are excluded from the matter.

Select View Excluded Users Report to navigate to the Excluded Users tab in the Reports page.

Holds

The count of holds that the matter is a part of.

Select View Holds to navigate to the Security tab which contains the Holds panel. See Viewing and managing Matter Holds.
