Docking and undocking the iManage Work Panel

The Work Panel can be used as a window that stays on the screen until dismissed. With this feature, you can:

  • Undock and move out of the Microsoft Outlook window to another part of the screen or to a different monitor.

  • Dock it back to its original position in the Outlook window.

  • Resize and reposition as desired for a better view/access.

This can be useful when you want to attach files from iManage to emails by dragging them into the email window, and file emails by dragging-and-dropping them from Outlook to the desired folder in the iManage Work panel. The panel remains open as a separate window even when you perform tasks or open other dialog boxes in the main Outlook window.

  • Select images/download/thumbnails/135364778/PanelOptions.png in the upper-right corner of the panel, and then select Undock. The panel gets detached from the main Outlook window. Select the icon again in the window to dock it back.

  • Move the panel to the desired position on the screen, or to another monitor.

  • Use the CTRL key+F5 to reload the content of the panel.

  • Select images/download/thumbnails/135364778/ModelessWindowOptions.png to Restore, Move, Size, Minimize, Maximize, or Close the window.

NOTE:

The panel window in this mode gets minimized if you minimize the main Microsoft Outlook window.

NOTE:

From iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.5.0 onwards, whe n you undock or dock iManage Work Panel , the navigation path is remembered . Also, if you expand the folder hierarchy i n the docked mode and then undock iManage Work Panel or expand the folder hierarchy in the undocked mode and then dock the iManage Work Panel , the folder hierarchy is saved and you do not have to re-navigate to the folder.
