Linking folders linked by other users
You can link folders linked by other users. This is useful especially when the emails in the folder linked by other users are no longer getting filed or the user is no longer active in the organization.
When you link a folder linked by other users, all the emails that were not filed previously are filed to the iManage Work folder linked by you.
Right-click the folder to be linked and select Link to iManage > Edit Link Settings. Since the folder is not linked by you, the message, "Shared folder. You cannot edit a link created by another user. Do you want to create a new link to an iManage folder?" appears.
Select Yes. The Link Folder to iManage dialog box appears.
Select Browse and navigate to the new folder to be linked and click Select.
(Optional) Select or clear the following check boxes:
Leave messages in Outlook after filing: If selected (the default), email messages in the linked shared mailbox folder are moved to iManage Work and automatically deleted from the shared mailbox folder after they are filed. If cleared, messages remain in the shared mailbox folder after being filed. This check box is selected by default.
File messages as Private : Select this check box to apply the private security policy.
Map all sub folders: All subfolders in the selected shared mailbox folder are also linked. That is, the same subfolder structure is created in the iManage folder, and emails are filed to these subfolders.
Select OK . The folder is linked.
